John Leihugh Moseley, 72, of Harmony, N.C., passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, in Statesville, N.C. He was born on December 18, 1951, in Chatham County, Ga., to Carroll “John Henry” Moseley and Barbara Freeman.

He graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in 1974 and later from the Medical College of Georgia in 1986. John served as Chief of Surgery in Griffin, Ga., taught Medical Assisting at ECPI in Greensboro, and taught in the Allied Health Program at Surry Community College – Yadkinville Campus. He was a Georgia football fan. He also enjoyed playing golf and listening to country music.

John was preceded in death by his parents; and his step-father, Jack A. White.

He is survived by his son, Jackson Moseley of Milner, Ga.; sisters, Sharon Hohenstein (Joe) of Savannah, Ga., Debra Stephens (Danny) of Carrolton, Ga., and Carol Ann Scott (Dr. Jim) of Savannah, Ga.; a host of nieces and nephews; and significant other, Linda, and her children, Layken and Alyssa of Harmony, N.C.

Dr. Moseley’s family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 5 until 6 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 6 p.m. with Pastor Bill Troutman officiating.
