Georgina Ann Smith Brackett, 63, passed away October 3, 2024, at her home. She was born September 24, 1961, in Catawba County, N.C., to Johnny Smith and the late Peggy Rash Smith. She was a supervisor in healthcare.

Ann was very caring, funny, and sassy, but had a huge heart. She enjoyed shopping, getting manicures, and getting her hair done. She loved reading her prayers and loved her dog. Ann’s greatest love was spending time with her family. She was a very loving mother.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by brothers, Little John Smith and Charles Smith; and sister, Reba Smith.

Ann is survived by her children, Michelle Raines (Amy), Christy Watts, and Richard Brackett (Brooke); siblings, David Smith (Michelle), Diann King, and Debbie Smith; grandchildren, Joshua Watts, Kyleigh Cook, Grayson Raines-Spaide, Logan, Layton, Emma, and Ella; great-grandson, Bryson; and her beloved K-9, Lil’ Bit.
