As part of an ongoing initiative to reduce illegal narcotics in the community, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28 individuals for selling drugs directly to an undercover investigator from June through September.

Sheriff Darren Campbell said the operation builds on previous arrests and is part of the ICSO’s ongoing effort to get dangerous substances off the streets..

The arrests are part of a commitment to target career and repeat offenders who are contributing to the drug problem in Iredell County.

“Drug-related activity frequently leads to other forms of criminal behavior, from theft to violent offenses,” Campbell said. “By focusing on those who sell drugs, we’re addressing the root cause of many of these issues and making our community a safer place.”

Residents can submit a tip directly to the ICSO through the Iredell Sheriff App, which provides an easy and anonymous way to help protect your community.
