Jimmy Mack Combs, 78, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House following an extended illness. Jimmy was born in Iredell County, November 18, 1945, to the late James Lofton Combs and Lucille Deal Combs.

He was a lineman with Southern Bell for 37 years and was a member of New Amity A.R.P. Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spending time with his two grandsons.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Rebecca Chapman Combs, of the home; one daughter, Tracey Isenhour of Stony Point; one brother, Tommy Combs of Taylorsville; two sisters, Martha Johnson and Carolyn Cook, both of Statesville; and two grandsons, Noah and Luke Isenhour.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Stony Point Cemetery. Rev. Wesley Hammer will officiate. There will be no formal visitation. Memorials may be given to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625, or New Amity A.R.P. Church, P.O. BOX 127 Scotts, NC 28699.
