Margaret Elizabeth Herrman Murphy, 81, of Statesville, N.C., died Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

She was born June 19, 1938 in Waverly, Va., to the late Raymond Herrman and Anne Coolidge Herrman. Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Coleman Murphy; a son, Patrick Eugene Murphy; and a grandchild, Bruce Murphy.

Margaret enjoyed NASCAR, her animals, fishing, and crocheting, and she loved the people that she met at Britts Amaco.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Anthony Coleman Murphy (Cheryl) of Missouri; a daughter, Terri Lynn Murphy Myrick of North Carolina; a brother and a sister; a special niece and caregiver, Sandy Hagan of Statesville; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, a great-grandchild; and a host of family and friends.

There will be no local services.
