Patsy Karriker Stewart, 81, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Serenity House in Mooresville.

She was born on April 7, 1938, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Hoarce and Bessie Hager Karriker. Mrs. Stewart loved serving as a caregiver for others, talking on the phone with family and friends, and sitting on the porch watching the birds. Mrs. Stewart enjoyed playing Bingo and watching Bachelorette and Westerns, especially Gunsmoke. She loved her grandsons and her granddogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Stewart; brothers, John Karriker, Max Karriker and Jack Karriker; and sisters, Charlie Cook, Betty Caldwell, Linda Robertson, and Mary Fish.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Bell (Steve Winecoff); grandsons, Eddie Dean Bell and Kenton Wayne Bell; sister, Carol Pennell; and brothers, Bob Karriker and Teddy “Red” Karriker.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, at New Hope Lutheran Church Cemetery, 296 Faith Road, Mooresville, NC 28115.
