The Full Bloom Film Festival will present a special screening of the critically acclaimed film “The Whale” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22. 

The film will be shown at the Iredell Arts Council, located at 203 S Meeting Street in Statesville.

Directed by Darren Aronofsky and written by Samuel D. Hunter, “The Whale” tells the heartwarming and poignant story of a reclusive English teacher, portrayed by Academy Award-winner Brendan Fraser, as he seeks to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter. The touching narrative of redemption also stars Sadie Sink and Ty Simpkins.

“The Whale” won multiple Academy Awards, including Best Actor for Brendan Fraser, and is guaranteed to leave audiences both moved and inspired.
