Richard Wayne Ledbetter, 77, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Salisbury, N.C. He was born in Kings Mountain on November 11, 1946, to Daniel Ledbetter and Willie Ruth Hatley Ledbetter.
Wayne owned Ledbetter’s Grill in Statesville. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Carroll Ledbetter.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Jo Anne P. Ledbetter; daughters, Amy Woody, Jayna Huffines (James), and Alyson Harbin; grandchildren, Zosephine Huffines, Jakob Huffines, Zachary Woody, Olivia Harbin, and Bowman Harbin; brother, Don Ledbetter (Amanda); sister, Nancy Philbeck (Chuck); and sister-in-law, Pat Ledbetter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dieter Punt officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
Donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 225 Morgan Street, Troutman, NC 28166.
