The Cool Springs Volunteer Fire Department held its annual Truck or Treat event on Saturday evening. More than 850 people came out in costume to enjoy the spooky fire house. About 500 pounds of candy was given out to the children. This year a scare-free kids’ zone was added and proved to be a big hit for younger children. The volunteers spent the day preparing and decorating the inside of the fire station for the event.
