Mr. Albert Jackson Scott, 63, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born in Iredell County on September 29, 1961, and was the son of the late Eugene Andre Marshall and Agnes Josephine Scott.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Albert Jackson Robinson; one grandchild, Dontrez Stevenson; great grandchild, Dontrez Robinson; and siblings, Janice Mott, Deborah Nichols, Sharon Ann Scott, Andrea Roseboro, Leroy Scott, and Steven Scott.

Big Al, as he was affectionately called, was a 1980 graduate of North Iredell High School, and once was a member of Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church. He was an avid Washington Redskins football fan. Big Al was a kind and loving person. He will truly be missed.

His love lives on through his daughter, Latasha (Donnell Stevenson) Robinson; his son, Cody Robinson; his siblings, Lavon (James) Davidson of Statesville, Eugene Stockton of Richmond, Va., Andre Ramseur of East Orange, N.J., Priscilla Scott Cherry of Cumming, Ga., Allan Ramseur of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mary H. Scott and Lori Scott Crosby, both of Statesville; sister/niece, Stephanie (Joseph) Williams; brother/cousin, Gregory (Deborah) Scott of Clinton Township, Michigan; brother/cousin, James (Elaine) Bowman of Statesville; six grandchildren, Tyrell Imes, JaQuez Robinson, Xavier Robinson, Alaysha Robinson, Donnell Ellison, and Dontavious Robinson; a special niece, Rykisha (Garrick) Roseboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 12 noon at Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church, 537 South Center Street, Statesville. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the church.

The family will assemble at the residence of his sister, Reverend Mary H. Scott, 2423 Coretta Avenue, right off King Street, at all other times.
