Continuing its tradition of service, the Rotary Club of Top of the Lake-Mooresville, along with Corvid Technologies, will host a free breakfast for current and former members of the Armed Forces on Thursday, November 7.
This year’s event will be held at the Charles Mack Citizens Center, 215 North Main Street, from 8 to 10 a.m.
Rockie Lynne will provide the entertainment. A former Army paratrooper who enlisted as a teenager after being raised at Barium Springs Home for Children, Lynne is an accomplished country music singer/songwriter, He founded Tribute to the Troops to honor Gold Star families and support service members in Iredell County.
Members of this Rotary Club began the tradition of hosting a Veterans Breakfast in 2015 and consider it an honor to recognize the service of men and women who have served our country.
“Top of the Lake Rotary’s annual recognition of Veterans Day with out Veterans Breakfast is just one of many events that is part of Mooresville’s celebration,” said Rotarian Melvin Spiese, a retired Marine Corps major general. “Rockie represents the best of U.S. military veterans, and he is a model for all Americans.”
