N.C. Sen. Vickie Sawyer, a Republican, easily outpolled her Democratic challenger on Tuesday to win re-election.

According to unofficial votes, Sawyer received the support of 80,989 voters to defeat Democrat Kate Compton Barr, who received 43,606 votes.

84th NC House District

Incumbent Jeff McNeely, a Republican, was re-elected by a wide margin on Tuesday.

McNeely received the support of 29,974 voters to defeat Democrat Chris Gilbert, who garnered 12,393 votes, according to unofficial results. Write-in candidates received 1,066 votes in this race.

89th NC House District

Incumbent Mitchell Setzer, a Republican, easily defeated his Democratic challenger Greg Cranford.

According to unofficial results, Setzer received 37,894 votes; Cranford garnered 11,960 votes.

95th NC House District

Republican Todd Carver defeated Democrat Mike Robinson in the race for the seat vacated by Rep. Grey Mills, who ran for the U.S. House.

According to unofficial results, Carver garnered the support of 32,255 voters; Robinson received 17,715 votes.
