Special to IFN

The annual Mooresville Veterans Day Parade, a community tribute to the courage and dedication of U.S. military veterans, is scheduled for Monday, November 11, at 1 p.m.

Presented by the Town of Mooresville and Richard’s Coffee Shop, the parade will travel through Downtown Mooresville.

The parade will feature local veterans, veterans organizations, active-duty service members, military families, community groups, and youth organizations. Spectators can expect a display of patriotism, inspiring music, and heartfelt tributes honoring the service of our military personnel.

Following the parade, the community is invited to gather at Richard’s Coffee Shop, located at 165 N. Main Street, for its grand re-opening event. Recently restored by Lowe’s, the shop’s kitchen has been fully remodeled. The support from Lowe’s has been instrumental in creating a space where community members and veterans alike can enjoy good food and company in an enhanced setting that respects the legacy of Richard’s.

Richard’s Coffee Shop is also partnering with Toys for Tots to collect unwrapped toys for children and families in need throughout western North Carolina. Community members are encouraged to bring new toys to the event to spread holiday cheer to these families.

The Town of Mooresville encourages residents and visitors alike to line the streets of Main Street, wave flags, and share in the meaningful Veterans Day Parade.
