Steve Gray Mabe, 53, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024. He was born July 12, 1971, in Greensboro, N.C., to the late Herman Gray Mabe and Leona Todd Mabe.
Steve was known for his fun-loving personality. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was also an avid music lover, and he enjoyed singing. His favorite artist was Elvis Presley.
Steve has preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Gray Mabe; and niece, Brandi Nicole Oxendine.
He is survived by his sisters, Treva Lynn Mabe and Rachel Diane Lynch; brother, Jimmy Fox; son, Patrick Gray Mabe; nephew, Bryson Gray Mabe (Vanessa); and other extended family and friends
The family will hold a private service at a later date.

I went to school with Steve. He was a stand-up guy. That’s the highest compliment I can give a fellow common man. Rest peacefully, pal.
