Elizabeth White MacIntosh, 89, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at her home. Born on March 3, 1935, in Mooresville, she was a cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Marion Newton White.
Mrs. MacIntosh dedicated her life to public education as a beloved teacher within the Iredell-Statesville Schools, inspiring countless students along the way. Known for her dedication and kindness, she made a lasting impact on the lives of those she taught. A devoted member of Centre Presbyterian Church, Mooresville, she made her faith the cornerstone of her life.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James “Jim” MacIntosh, and her sister, Sara M. Beaver. She leaves behind a loving family, including her children, James Arthur MacIntosh (Elsie) and Sara Elizabeth Bailey, along with her treasured grandchildren, Rachel E. MacIntosh and Rebekah E. Bailey. She was also accompanied in spirit by her loyal fur baby, Wally.
Funeral services will be held at Centre Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. The family will welcome friends on the evening of Friday, November 29, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville.
