BY NATALIE PRESNELL
Sad. Scared. Confused. Worried. Anxious. Nervous.
These are all feelings that children in foster care experience on a regular basis due to the uncertainty of what their future may hold.
If you have a heart for children in foster care and are looking for a way that you can support children in your very own community, I encourage you to donate to the Iredell County Department of Social Services’ Lonely Children’s Fund.
Donations made to The Lonely Children’s Fund are used to cover expenses for children in foster care throughout the year. These donations help give the children a sense of normalcy in this very difficult time in their lives.
The Lonely Children’s Fund covers expenses for children in foster care, including but not limited to activities such as school field trips, summer camp, joining a sports team, taking music lessons, attending school dances and receiving Christmas gifts.
Loved. Wanted. Cherished. Valued. Supported. Adored.
These are all feelings that children in foster care can also experience on a regular basis when they are afforded the opportunity to engage in normal childhood activities with their peers. You can become a part of bringing joy and happiness to children in foster care in Iredell County by donating to the Lonely Children’s Fund.
