A Charlotte man faces felony drug charges and a misdemeanor weapons charge after Mooresville police found four pounds of marijuana and a concealed handgun in a vehicle during a traffic stop.
The Mooresville Police Department announced the arrest of Lekeon Davajia Brown, 27, in a news release Monday afternoon.
Brown was stopped by an MPD officer for a traffic violation about 8:58 a.m. Sunday, November 30, 2024, on River Highway near Interstate 77, police said.
A search of the vehicle resulted in officers seizing four pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a concealed handgun, according to the news release.
Brown was charged with felony possession of marijuana, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a vehicle for the use or sale of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor drug offense, misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon, and a misdemeanor window tint violation.
Brown was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center, but has been released on a $15,000 secured bond, according to jail records.
