BY TAYLOR BURRIS
Each November we like to highlight National Adoption Month. This is a time to celebrate permanency for children in foster care. Thanks to the support of the Lonely Children’s Fund, one foster child’s life has taken a hopeful turn.
Since entering foster care in 2017, this child faced years of uncertainty and the fear of never finding a permanent home. However, with the assistance of the Lonely Children’s Fund, we were able to reunite him with his paternal grandmother and siblings living in another state. This reunion not only expanded his support network, it also gave him hope for a brighter future.
Without the generous donations made to the Lonely Children’s Fund, this life-changing outcome would not have been possible. These funds allow us to achieve positive outcomes for children in foster care, ensuring they have the support systems they need to thrive.
National Adoption Month reminds us that every child deserves a loving, stable family. Through contributions to the Lonely Children’s Fund, more children can be given the opportunity to find their forever homes, while providing them with a sense of belonging. Together, we can continue to make these stories of hope, a reality for children in foster care.
