It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda Mack, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who departed this life on December 16, 2024, at the age of 56. Born September 17, 1968, in Chester, S.C., Brenda carried the warmth and charm of her hometown throughout her life. She later made her home in Statesville, N.C., where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Brenda leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents James (A.C.) Dye and Virginia Mack, and siblings John Mack, James Mack, Robert Mack, and Victoria Mack. She is survived by children Shemika Crosby, Javarus Howze, Keynashua Carter-Moss (husband Jervasse), and Zaypassion Fowler (husband Lincoln); grandchildren Aslisha Bell, Aleona Mack, McKenzie Crosby, Macie Crosby, Lilyonna Pollock, Jada Feaster, Alise Feaster, Carter Moss, Marlee Moss, and Kartier Harris; siblings Barbara Jackson, Bernice Tobias, Joyce Featherstone, Mamie Mack, Ann Mack, and Atlene Mack; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held in her birthplace of Chester, S.C. Details regarding the date and time will be shared with family and friends in the near future.
Brenda Mack will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her infectious sense of humor, and the profound impact she had on those around her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
