Lewis Earl Stewart, 55, of Vale, N.C., passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, surrounded by his family at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, N.C. He was born on January 29, 1969, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Johnny and Barbra Stewart.

Lewis enjoyed time spent with family catching up on lost time, watching his grandchildren grow, and fiddling with his truck and car. He will be fondly remembered for his goofy laugh and carefree personality.

In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his grandson, Aidan Stewart, and a brother, Bobby Stewart.

He is survived by his wife and life-long partner of 42 years, Bobbie Jo Williams; children, Christopher Stewart and wife Lauren Stewart, Casey Stewart-Still and partner Jason Price, Jeremiah Weibush, Joshua Weibush, Jacob Weibush and Jessica Weibush; the lights of his world and his grandchildren, Gabriel, Abel, Braxton, Maddox, Zachary, Nick, Mason, Joshua Jr., Ar’Mani, Brandon, Asher and Seleighna; brothers: Michael, Corey and Matthew Stewart; sister in-law, Missy Stewart; and nephew, Coley Stewart and wife Kristen, along with niece, Samantha Stewart.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, from 2 to 3 p.m. with a service following at 3 p.m. at Community Baptist Church with Rev. Mathew Munday officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
