The Statesville NAACP Youth Council will host a Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Celebration at the Unity Center in Statesville on Saturday, January 18.

This event is free to all youth ages 24 and younger.

The schedule of events includes community outreach, a choice educational reflection activity, team games, and a pizza lunch. The choice section will include options for art, culinary, and community networking.

There will be a Kids Corner room with activities for younger children.

Doors open at 9:15 a.m. for registration. The festivities will start at 9:45 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.

Participants should arrive early so that they can sign up for their choice session as seats will be limited in each session.

The Unity Center is located 1145 Salisbury Road in Statesville.
