Joe Wayne Gantt, 81, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, in Statesville, N.C. He was born on November 1, 1943, in Iredell County to Eulan Gantt and Grace Warren Gantt. He attended Monticello United Methodist Church and retired from Sara Lee in Statesville.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Donald Glenn Gantt.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Young Gantt of Statesville; daughter, Michelle Anderson (Lynn) of Statesville; and grandsons, Ty Anderson and Lucas Anderson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Steve Small will officiate. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
