Infant Emory Malik Rawlings, beloved son of Chanie Rawlings and Tyrek McClain, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was born in Iredell County on May 28, 2024.

He is survived by his mother, Chanie, and his father, Tyek; his grandparents, Brenda Malong and John Foster; his siblings, Marcus Sevyn Oglesby, Journee Oglesby, Armane Johnson, Neavena Johnson and Kaleigha Rawlings; his aunts and uncles, Malaika Lawrence, Keshawn Malone, Kreshunda Johnson, Regina Malone, Dion Malone and Tony Malone; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 1 p.m. Bishop Glenn J. Usry will officiate. Members of the family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of his grandmother, Brenda Malone, 407 Deaton Street, Statesville, at other times.
