The 30th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Community Breakfast & Celebration will be held Monday, January 20, at 7 a.m. at the Statesville Civic Center. Doors will open at 6 a.m.

There is no cost for the event, athough seating is limited.

The theme for the year’s event is “We Have Come This Far By Faith”.

The speaker for the event will be Dr. Patricia Gainer. She is pastor of Statesville’s historic 164-year-old Shiloh AME Zion Church.

The 2025 MLK Community Choir Concert will be held January 19, at 4 p.m. at First Greater Living Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1043 Sowers Street.
