Special to IFN
Calling all adventurous young spirits! Iredell County 4-H is thrilled to be heading back to Millstone 4-H Camp from July 6-11.
This unforgettable overnight experience is open to all Iredell youth ages 8 to 14 and promises a week filled with fun, learning, and lasting memories.
Why Send Your Child to 4-H Camp?
● Unplug and Connect: In today’s digital age, camp offers a much-needed break from screens. Children will have the opportunity to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature, building valuable social skills and fostering a deeper appreciation for the outdoors.
● Skill Development: From archery and canoeing to nature crafts and cooking, camp provides a diverse range of activities that encourage exploration and skill development. Children will learn new things, step outside their comfort zones, and discover hidden talents.
● Independence and Confidence: Spending time away from home fosters a sense of independence and responsibility. Campers will learn to navigate new environments, make their own decisions, and overcome challenges, all of which contribute to increased self-confidence.
● Making Lasting Friendships: Camp provides a unique opportunity for children to meet new friends from all walks of life. Shared experiences, from campfire singalongs to thrilling outdoor adventures, create lasting bonds and memories that will be cherished for years to come.
Space is limited, so don’t delay! Applications to attend 4-H Camp are now being accepted through January 31.
All NC 4-H camps are accredited by the American Camping Association indicating the camp has met certain safety, programming, and fiscal management standards. 4-H is the youth development program offered through Cooperative Extension.
