John Calvin Edmiston, 75, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, N.C.

He was born October 21, 1949, in Mooresville to the late Conrad Lee Edmiston and Alice Johnston Edmiston. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He served during the Vietnam era and was in the Reserves after active duty. He was an avid collector of vintage cars and antiques.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Belle Christie Edmiston and Earl Payne Edmiston.

John is survived by his brothers, Earl Winston Edmiston of Mooresville, N.C., and Jerry Lee Edmiston of Tampa, Fla.; and nephew, Ryan Matthew Edmiston of Odessa, Fla.

A Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, at the Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors.
