The Lonely Children’s Fund of Iredell County is celebrating a major milestone, having successfully reached its annual goal of raising $30,000 to support children in foster care.

This achievement was made possible with the assistance of the United Way of Iredell County and the generosity of local community members who directed their donations to the fund.

The United Way of Iredell County plays a pivotal role in supporting nonprofits throughout the region. Last year alone, United Way funds benefitted 57 nonprofit organizations, enabling them to provide critical services and support to neighbors in need a total of 69,302 times.

Jeff Bardoni, campaign chair for the United Way of Iredell County, expressed his gratitude for the community’s unwavering support.

“We are proud to continue supporting so many great agencies that work to improve education, health, and financial stability in Iredell County,” he said. “The success of these organizations highlights the generosity and compassion of our community.”

Of the funds raised, $5,449.04 was directly designated by donors to support the Lonely Children’s Fund of Iredell County, showcasing the community’s dedication to helping foster children thrive.
