Tickets are now available for the upcoming Theatre Statesville production of “The Miracle Worker,” based on the true story of Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan, in the American Renaissance Black Box Theatre.
The production opens February 21 and runs through March 8 with seven evening performances and two matinees.
Witten by William Gibson, “The Miracle Worker” is a dramatization of the story of Helen Keller, a girl who was blind and deaf, and Annie Sullivan, who broke new ground to teach her sign language.
Sarah Trinite and Aubrey Kowalski star in this production as Sullivan and Keller, respectively. Helen’s parents, Kate and Captain Keller, are played by Rebecca White and Matthew White.
The Theatre Statesville Production is directed by Dalton Isaac.
“We have worked very hard to bring this text to life as truthfully as possible and with respect to the immense historical relevance of their story,” Isaac said.
The theatre is located at 222 E Broad Street in Statesville.
