He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville pursuing degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. Always a go-getter, Cleveland would work as a DJ getting gigs in Knoxville and surrounding areas for entertainment and networking. After graduation, he accepted a job as a bookkeeper in Oak Ridge, Tenn., at the bomb factory. He streamlined their procedures of Risk Management, Financial transactions, daily income sales and corporate payments. Cleveland was drawn to Kentucky for a better change of atmosphere. He planted roots to further his education. There he would go after his master’s degree (MBA) in Business. Afterward, he took a new occupation at Schnieder becoming a Property and Casualty Administrator. He also took on collateral duties involving Safety and Claims. Things didn’t slow down for him at this point. He was offered a position as Senior Underwriting Specialist at Great West Casualty Company. He worked in Taylorsville in Alexander County for a brief period and found a similar job in Mooresville. He went from Heavy Equipment Operator to Waste Management Supervisor for Iredell County. Always willing to help the public, he made it his mission to make a safe work environment and find new innovative ways to promote positive input. During The Pandemic, Cleveland was recruited to work as an Insurance Investigator for the State in North Carolina. He maintained an office in Raleigh, but eventually was working from home. He managed complex cases, investigated fraud and embezzlement. Once again he got multiple awards for his service.
