Miguel Antonio Vasquez Garcia, 51, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born September 30, 1973, in Oaxaca, Mexico, the son of Victoriano Vasquez and the late Clotilda Garcia Ortiz.

He worked in the dairy industry for Grayhouse Farms. He was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Statesville. He was a very friendly man who was always willing to help anyone. He was willing to take the shirt off his back for someone.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Reynaldo Vasquez Garcia.

Along with his father, those left to cherish and honor his memory include his wife, Ofelia Martinez of the home; his children, Josue Vasquez Martinez, Shiley Vasquez Martinez, Shina Vasquez Martinez, Flor Matilde Vasquez, Jazmin Isabella Vasquez, and Miguel Antonio Vasquez Garcia; and his siblings, Gustavo Vasquez Garcia, Yolanda Vasquez Garcia, and Agustin Vasquez Garcia.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 421 New Sterling Road, Stony Point, NC 28678.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Statesville. Burial will follow in the Hiddenite Cemetery.
