The Fort Dobbs Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution dedicated a historic marker at Fourth Creek Cemetery on Saturday. The marker honors the Revolutionary War patriots with connections to the Fourth Creek settlement.

Scott Stevenson, Fourth Creek Burying Ground Committee chair, provided a historical overview of the site.

The historic marker is in recognition of the upcoming America 250 celebrations in 2026 for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
