A Statesville man has been charged with passing a stopped school bus and reckless driving to endanger following an investigation by the N.C. State Highway Patrol.

James Allen Jordan, 22, of S. Miller Avenue, Statesville, was being held in the Iredell County Detention Center on Wednesday morning in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
Troopers began an investigation on Tuesday after receiving a report that a motorcyclist traveling north on Wallace Springs Road failed to stop for a bus with its lights activated and nearly struck a student. The incident occurred about 4 p.m. near Cara Lane, according to the Highway Patrol.
Jordan, who was identified after photos of the incident were published on social media, was arrested and processed at the jail about 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
