John Thomas Ferrell, 49, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 24, 1975, in California, and was the son of Suzanne Ferrell and John Olah.

John enjoyed walking, running, watching movies, being a cheer dad, sports, beach, and being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Olah, Dwinelle Polly Boyer, and Jean Ferrell.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy Rose Ferrell; children, Madison Ferrell, Amaya Ferrell, and Jordyn Ferrell; mother and stepfather, Suzanne and Gary Shelton; father, John Olah; sister, Jeanne Hunter and husband Darren; brother, Jehrome Olah Sr. and wife Melisa; stepbrother, Andrew and Katie Shelton; grandchildren, Philonena Ferrell and Jameson Ferrell; his only son, Jonathan Ferrell; and several nieces and nephews.
