The Democratic Women of Iredell County, an affiliate of the Iredell County Democratic Party, gathered Saturday afternoon, March 8, to support democracy.
A small but enthusiastic group stood along Main Street before Mooresville’s Town Hall for about three hours, waving signs and cheering motorists. The signs varied from saving healthcare, education, and Social Security to supporting Ukraine. The group received feedback and support through honking and thumbs-up as the cars passed, with no significant adverse reactions from those with opposing views.
The Democratic Women of Iredell County are planning future pro-democracy events. If you wish to become involved or attend, please contact Sandy Mcfeeley at sandramcfeeley@gmail.com.
I guess having men in women’s sports and bathrooms is worth protesting about. Oh, lets not forget anyone in prison who wants to be a woman we will pay for it. I DON’T THINK SO!
