The City of Statesville invites residents to roll up their sleeves and help clean up their community at the 2025 Spring Trash Bash.
The Spring Trash Bash will take place on Saturday, April 26, offering an opportunity for residents to make a visible difference in their city. This event, held in conjunction with the NCDOT Litter Sweep, is part of North Carolina’s biannual roadside litter removal initiative.
Event Details
Date: Saturday, April 26
Check-In: 9 to 10 a.m.
Cleanup: 10 a.m. to 12 noon
Appreciation Cookout: 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Statesville Fire Station 1
Sign-Up Deadline: Saturday, April 19
Meeting Locations
Volunteers will meet at one of the designated locations listed below. Maps of nearby streets to be cleaned will be provided upon arrival.

♦ Bristol Community Center – 1605 Bristol Road
♦ Bentley Center – 1410 3rd Street
♦ Kimbrough Park – 1833 E. Greenbriar Road
♦ Boys & Girls Club – 1001 Cochran Street
♦ Downtown Flats – 300 S. Center Street (Civic Center)
♦ Fire Station 1 – 822 5th Street
♦ Abernathy Park – 1325 Alexander Street
The City of Statesville will provide gloves, safety vests, and trash bags for all participants. Volunteers must sign a waiver prior to participation. The event is open to adults and children ages 12 and up. Individuals, families, civic groups, school organizations, and local businesses are encouraged to take part. City employees will also be volunteering at each location.
Volunteer Registration & Appreciation Cookout
Participants must register online by April 19, selecting a preferred meeting location and a second-choice location to allow time for coordination. Each volunteer will receive a wristband, which will grant them access to a special appreciation cookout hosted by the Statesville Fire Department at Fire Station 1 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Volunteers can enjoy hotdogs and hamburgers as a thank-you for their service.
The Spring Trash Bash 2025 offers a great way to connect with neighbors, give back to the community, and help keep Statesville clean and beautiful.
