It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Quick Morrow, a one-of-a-kind husband, father, brother, son, amazing uncle, and friend. Paul took his final ride on March 21, 2025, at the age of 61. While we are still trying to figure out how to live without him, we know he was welcomed into Heaven with open arms and big hugs by his parents, Elizabeth and Murray (Slim) Morrow, and brother Ronnie, in addition to many family and friends.
Paul was a family man through and through. He was the best husband to Nina, and proudest father to Gibson and Melody, the baby brother to George, Sandy, Jackie, Dick, and Nanc, and an amazingly fun uncle who always knew how to show up with a smile and a huge hug for everyone (and maybe a wisecrack here and there). His family was his everything, and no matter what life threw his way, he always made sure they knew they came first.
Paul (Aqua Man) had a deep passion for motorcycles. If he wasn’t with his family, he could be found riding his Harley Davidson. You could always tell when he would be out for a ride because the grin on his face was a dead giveaway. Going on rides with his wife, family, and friends brought him true joy, and he rode it with the kind of enthusiasm only a true Harley rider could understand. We’re pretty sure he would have ridden his bike into the afterlife if allowed.
And let’s not forget Paul’s other passion, drumming. Whether it was a jam session with friends or a private concert in his shop, the world was his drum. If there was a beat, Paul was there, and if there wasn’t, well, he’d make his own. Music was his second language, and he spoke it fluently.
Paul had a special gift of sincerity and treated everyone, including strangers, as if they had been friends forever. His humor, generosity, and infectious smile left a lasting impression on everyone who met him. He was the guy who would light up a room and the party just by walking in with a huge smile and big hug for everyone.
That’s how we will remember him, the Harley-riding music man who never met a stranger. His presence will be missed beyond words, but we’ll keep his memory alive by living by his example and loving big.
The welcome party in heaven is Paul’s loving parents, Elizabeth and Murray (Slim) Morrow; brother Ronnie; nieces Collen and Sandy; nephews Kenny, Jeremy, Preston, and Shane; father-in-law Roy Herman; and Frank Arnold.
Left missing him here are wife Nina; children Gibson and Melody; sisters Sandy, Jackie, and Nancy (Mike); brothers George and Dick (Cindy); and multiple nieces, nephews, great and great great (we stopped counting).
A celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Heritage House of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., prior to the service.
