The City of Statesville will close its offices on Wednesday, November 11, in recognition of the Veterans Day Holiday.
Mayor Costi Kutteh signed a proclamation honoring veterans for their service and highlighted the 48 veterans who are employed by the City of Statesville. He called on all citizens to observe the holiday by “solemnly remembering the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly to preserve our heritage of freedom.”
Garbage Collection
Because of the holiday, there will be no garbage collection on Wednesday, November 11. The revised schedule for the week of November 9-13 is as follows:
♦ Residential: Monday and Tuesday routes will operate on a regular schedule; Wednesday and Thursday routes will be collected on Thursday; and Friday routes will operate on a regular schedule.
♦ Commercial: Monday and Tuesday routes will operate on a regular schedule; Wednesday and Thursday routes will be collected on Thursday; and Friday and Saturday routes will run on a regular schedule
Fitness & Activity Center
The Statesville Fitness & Activity Center will be closed on Veterans Day.
ABC Stores
The Statesville ABC Stores will be open on Wednesday, November 11.
