Local health officials reported 57 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday afternoon, pushing the total number of laboratory confirmed cases to 687.

The Iredell County Health Department has reported 169 new cases in the past week.

Among the 687 people who have tested positive in the county: 

♦ 305 people are isolating at home;
♦ 17 people are currently hospitalized;
♦ 356 people are presumed recovered; and
♦ 9 people have died

Geographic Dispersal of COVID-19 Cases in Iredell County

According to health officials, 226 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the southern end of the county, 280 in the central region and 181 in North Iredell.

The N.C. Department of Health & Human Services has reported a total of 58,818 laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19. There have been 1,297 deaths attributed to the coronavirus across the state, and 892 people are currently hospitalized in North Carolina.
