COVID-19 Update: Number of confirmed cases in Iredell approaches 300; nearly 200 people across county now presumed recovered

The number of laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 is rapidly approaching 300 in Iredell County.

The Iredell County Health Department reported six new cases on Thursday after confirming nine new cases on Tuesday and seven more on Wednesday.

Among the 290 confirmed cases in Iredell County:

♦ 87 people are currently isolating at home;
♦ 4 people are hospitalized;
♦ 193 people are presumed recovered; and
♦ 6 people have died

There have been 125 confirmed cases in the southern end of the county, 107 in the central region, and 58 in the northern end of the county.

Geographic Dispersal of COVID-19 Cases in Iredell County

There have been a total of 31,966 confirmed cases across the state, according to the N.C. Department of Health & Human Services. Some 659 people are currently hospitalized in North Carolina, and 960 deaths in the state have been attributed to COVID-19.
