The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) approved funding to several regional transportation projects, including more than $7 million for projects in Iredell County, at its board meeting on February 19.
In total, the CRTPO Board awarded $55.4 million in discretionary project funds supporting 28 projects across 17 jurisdictions.
Iredell County projects slated to receive funding include:
EXISTING ROADWAY PROJECTS
♦ Statesville Brookdale Drive-US 21 Connector $1,049,655
NEW ROADWAY PROJECTS
♦ Iredell County Cornelius & Perth Road Roundabout Conversion $1,485,000
♦ Mooresville NC 115 & Langtree Road Intersection $4,053,230
EXISTING BICYLCE/PEDESTRIAN PROJECTS
♦ Mooresville Mooresville Middle School Area Sidewalk $640,647
PLANNING
♦ Iredell County Iredell County Transportation Master Plan $120,000
♦ Statesville I-77/Jane Sowers Road Interchange Conversion $242,000
