The Iredell County Health Department reported nearly 100 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday as the total number of cases in the county continued to surge.

With the 95 new cases reported Monday, there have been a total of 4,136 laboratory confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus since the pandemic began in March.

Among those:
♦ 28 people are currently hospitalized;
♦ 486 people are isolating at home;
♦ 45 people have died; and
♦ 3,577 people are presumed recovered

Local officials continue urging residents to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and wash their hands frequently.
