The Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 8, at the Career Academy & Technical School in Troutman.

The agenda includes the following items:

♦ Discussion of the contract for legal services for Pope McMillan for 2020-2021;
♦ A potential freeze in hiring and expenditures due to budget uncertainties; and
♦ Setting school breakfast and lunch prices for 2020-2021

There is also time reserved for public comment.

COVID-19 Measures

There is a mass gathering exemption for government operations that includes local government in-person board meetings and encompasses government officials, staff, and members of the public attending in-person board meetings. In other words, the mass gathering restriction does not apply to or limit the number of members of the public who may attend an in-person school board meeting.

Attendees will be asked to comply with social distancing recommendations and other measures designed to reduce transmission of COVID-19. The meeting will also be livestreamed.
