I-SS, Iredell Health Department notify parents of COVID-19 cases at nine district schools

Iredell-Statesville Schools and the Iredell County Health Department have notified parents of students who attend nine district schools of positive COVID-19 tests.

Here is a summary of the notifications:

October 26

● Woodland Heights Elementary: Close contacts have been notified.
● Sharon Elementary: No close contacts.
● Lake Norman High: No close contacts.
● Cloverleaf Elementary: Close contacts have been notified.

October 27

● West Iredell High: No close contacts.
● Cloverleaf Elementary: Close contacts have been notified.
● Celeste Henkel Elementary: Close contacts have been notified.

October 29

● Northview School: No close contacts.
● Scotts Elementary: Close contacts have been notified.
● Lake Norman Elementary: No close contacts.

Since August 10, Iredell-Statesville Schools has had 293 employees quarantined. That represents 11 percent of the faculty/staff.

For the 2020-2021 school year, I-SS has had 65 positive COVID cases. That represents 3 percent of the faculty/staff.
