Another person in Iredell County has died from COVID-19, according to local health officials.

The Iredell County Health Department reported the county’s 13th death attributed to COVID-19 on Friday afternoon. Local health officials do not release any personal information about COVID-19 patients, including those who die.

The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Iredell also increased by one to 33 on Friday as the total number of laboratory confirmed cases in the county continued to increase.

There are now 1,290 confirmed cases in the county, up from 746 on June 30. 

Health officials reported Friday that 427 people who have tested positive are currently isolating at home throughout the county.

Some 817 people who have tested positive in Iredell are presumed recovered.
