Iredell health officials report two more deaths as county’s COVID-19 caseload surpasses 900

Iredell County health officials reported two more COVID-19 related deaths on Monday, increasing the county’s death toll to 11.

Citing privacy laws, the Iredell County Health Department does not release any personal information about the people whose deaths have been attributed to the novel coronavirus.

Health officials reported 40 new cases on Monday, increasing the total number of laboratory confirmed cases in the county to 902.

Twenty-two people are currently hospitalized in Iredell with complications related to COVID-19, and some 391 people are isolating at home after testing positive.

Another 478 people who have tested positive in the county are presumed recovered, according to the latest data.

According to heath officials, 305 people in the southern end of the county have tested positive for COVID-19, along with 373 people in the central region and 224 in North Iredell.
