A Mooresville man was arrested after an investigation into threats made against town police officers.
According to a Mooresville Police Department news release, the MPD began investigating after receiving information that threats of violence against officers were made on social media.
During the investigation, investigators confirmed threats involving violence with the use of a firearm had been made towards MPD officers, according to the news release.
Jade Tyson Brannon, 44, was interviewed and admitted to writing and publishing the threats, police said.
Brannon was arrested and charged with one count of communicating threats. He was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where a magistrate issued a $3,000 secured bond on this charge.
