An Iredell County Sheriff’s Office investigation into the sale of narcotics from a Garfield Street home in Statesville culminated with the arrests of four suspects.

The ICSO began investigating after narcotics investigators received numerous complaints about possible narcotics distribution occurring at the residence at 306 Garfield Street, Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.

Narcotics investigators began surveillance operations in the area and quickly confirmed illegal drug activity was taking place, Campbell said.

Using this new information, undercover investigators began to purchases of “Crack” Cocaine from the home. They also identified Djuan Tyrell Sanchez White, 35, as one of the sellers, Campbell said.

On Friday, May 15, narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at the residence and detained four men. Upon searching the home, they located various illegal narcotics. along with a handgun, a shotgun and $4000.

The four suspects were arrested at the home, and then transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where they received the following charges.

White, who lives in Statesville, was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine), felony possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule III controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule I controlled substance (MDMA), misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Magistrate Nethken issued White a $50,000 bond.

Dominic Antwan Diggs, 35, of Statesville was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony possession with intent to sell or distribute schedule I controlled substance (MDMA), felony possession of schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine), misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Magistrate Saunders issued a $50,000 bond.

Tyrone Marquis MCConnaughey, 22, of Statesville was charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine). Magistrate Saunders issued a $5,000 bond.

Fredrick Jamar Cherry, 30, of Mooresville was issued a criminal summons for misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.
