The Statesville Police Department reported the following arrests:

MAY 25
♦ Nora Mize Hill, 39, of Fifth Street, Statesville, charged with breaking or entering, second-degree burglary, second-degree arson and burning personal property.

MAY 26
♦ Kevin Nicholas Mecimore, 18, of White Oak Branch Road, Statesville, charged with embezzlement.

Crime Reports

The SPD is investigating the following crime reports:

MAY 21
♦ Two residents reported a breaking or entering and damage to real property in the 1000 block of S. Meeting Street.

♦Two Statesville residents reported a breaking or entering with intent to terrorize or injure and simple assault in the 300 block of S. Race Street.

MAY 23
♦ A representative of Bank of America reported a safe cracking and injury to real property in the 1300 block of W. Front Street.
