The Statesville Police Department reported the following arrests:
MAY 9
♦ Preston Levi Kovanda, 31, of Statesville charged with larceny of a firearm, identity theft, and being a fugitive from justice from another state.
MAY 13
♦ Tabitha Deleen Johnston, 38, of Erwin Temple Church Road, Woodleaf, charged with larceny and possession of methamphetamine.
MAY 16
♦ Leigh Ann Bennett, 47, of Bethlehem Road, Statesville, charged with possession of cocaine and a misdemeanor drug offense.
MAY 17
♦ Markesh Albreta Daniels, 40, of Brevard Street, Statesville, charged with flee to elude arrest, assault with a deadly weapon on an officer, and resist, obstruct or delay an officer.
♦ Patrick Arthur Weber, 47, of Alexander Street, Statesville, charged with assault by strangulation and misdemeanor assault on a female.
MAY 18
♦ Jessica Nikkole Carina, 20, of Williamsburg Road, Olin, charged with breaking or entering to terrorize or injure, and misdemeanor assault.
MAY 19
♦ Nora Mize Hill, 39, of 5th Street, Statesville, charged with breaking and entering.
♦ Benjamin Jacob Schenk, 57, of Statesville, charged with assault by strangulation and misdemeanor assault.

The SPD is investigating the following crime reports:
MAY 7
♦ A resident reported the theft of a 2002 Honda CRV from the 500 block of Russell Street.
MAY 8
♦ Two residents reported a residential break-in in the 1900 block of Gay Street. A Smith & Wesson AR-15 with a laser sight was reported stolen.
MAY 9
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 600 block of Bost Street. A cigarette case and $20 were reported stolen.
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue.
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue.
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue.
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue. A lunch box and Bluetooth headphones were reported stolen.
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue. Five dollars in change was reported stolen.
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 800 block of Carolina Avenue North. A driver’s license, EBT card, debit card, cash and a Pokémon wallet were reported stolen.
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 1100 block of Fulton Drive. A bookbag, Bluetooth headset, Ipad, PlayStation and PlayStation controllers were reported stolen.
MAY 10
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue. A Kindle Fire, microphone and in-ear monitor were reported stolen.
♦ Two residents reported a residential break-in in the 300 block of W. Bingham Street. An assortment of shoes, including Nike Jordans, diapers, an Xbox One game system, Xbox games, and a 50-inch TV were reported stolen.
MAY 11
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 600 block of Bost Street. A checkbook was reported stolen.
MAY 12
♦ A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 200 block of Rumley Lane.
♦ Two residents reported a motor vehicle break-in in the 200 block of Spitfire Lane. A Walther handgun was reported stolen.
MAY 18
♦ A representative of Williams Electric Co. reported a motor vehicle break-in in the area of E. Broad Street and Beechwood Road. A tool bag containing various hand tools was reported stolen.
♦ A representative of Kontane Logistics reported a break-in in the 1200 block of N. Barkley Road.
MAY 19
♦ A representative of David Parker Real Estate reported a residential break-in in the 200 block of E. Broad Street.
MAY 20
♦ Two residents reported a residential break-in in the 1000 block of 7th Street. A lighter, $5 winning lottery ticket and $430 in cash was reported stolen.
