The Town of Mooresville has issued a Request for Qualifications for mixed-use development on 2.7 acres in Downtown Mooresville. The project site is located on Church Street in the core downtown district near the proposed Mill One private development site, which includes 90 market-rate apartments and first floor retail/office/restaurant and the recently renovated Town-owned Liberty Park.
Home to Lowe’s Corporate Headquarters, Department of Defense contractor Corvid, numerous NASCAR teams, NASCAR Technical Institute and many other advanced manufacturing corporations, Mooresville has experienced tremendous employment and population growth.
“Downtown Mooresville has benefitted from $16 million in redevelopment projects and has many other projects in the pipeline,” said Town Manager Randy Hemann. “The opportunities that can be offered on this property are vast and we are excited to see how we can leverage private and public development to really showcase the beauty, charm and business opportunities that exist in our downtown area.”
The Town is accepting Qualifications until April 15.
